It’s a recipe contest!
The Junior League of Springfield, in partnership with St. John’s Children’s Hospital and 93.9 ABE-FM, encourage all local kids to get healthy and get cooking!
The Junior League of Springfield is creating a cookbook for kids. But they need some help! Who could better decide what delicious dishes should be included in a cookbook for kids than kids themselves?
JLS is currently accepting recipe submissions from children ages 8 to 12. They want kids to experiment in the kitchen, and let them know how other children can re-create their yummiest of dishes! (Parents can help out of course, though the goal is for all recipes to be for kids, by kids).
The best way to find more information is to visit the JLS Web site, at www.jlsil.org. You’ll find a recipe form that you can print out, fill in and then send in. Please contact Brandy Moore at kitkcookbook@jlsil.org or by calling 787-7802 with any questions.
All recipes must be submitted by May 31 so JLS (with children’s help, of course!) can begin testing them. The kids whose winning entries are delicious and healthy enough to make the cookbook, will be notified by July 31, 2008.
